Betfred Super League Hull KR (10) 24 Tries: Broadbent, Gildart, Litten, Burgess (2) Goals: Lewis (2) Hull FC (6) 6 Tries: Briscoe Goals: Hardaker Hull KR took the spoils in the derby against city rivals Hull FC, running out 24-6 winners at Craven Park. Jack Broadbent and Ollie Gildart's tries gave Rovers a half-time lead, despite Tom Briscoe pulling Hull back into the game. The visitors were brave and unlucky not to level the scores when Lewis Martin had a try disallowed.
But Jez Litten and a Joe Burgess double helped the home side pull away for a comfortable win. The Robins broke the deadlock inside 10 minutes. Brilliant work by Mikey Lewis and Broadbent unlocked the door and the latter crossed under the posts, with Lewis converting.
Broadbent was called into action at the other end moments later. His last-ditch tackle denied Martin a certain try on the line at the left corner. Gildart added the hosts' second try soon after a spell of sustained pressure and somegreat footwork opened up a gap for him to cross, but this time Lewis could not add the extras.
With half-time looming, Briscoe got Hull FC back into the match. He met Aidan Sezer's pass over the top and drove to the corner before Zak Hardaker converted. The visitors picked up where they left off after the break and Martin soon touched down.
