Former NFL player alleges Colts GM gave Andrew Luck retirement ‘ultimatum’
Former Indianapolis Colts star Andrew Luck will always be among the NFL’s greatest surprises after retiring early from the league, but one of his ex-teammates has dropped insight on how it all went down. The Colts seemingly had themselves a legitimate long-term replacement at quarterback after Peyton Manning left for the Denver Broncos in 2012. However, Luck’s seven-year NFL tenure was a lot shorter than many expected for the former number one overall pick.

Meanwhile, Ebron claims that the 56 year old executive was the deciding factor in Luck’s decision despite the signal caller’s story that he revealed to the public.
Why did Luck retire from the NFL? “You know who the man is around there that gets on everyone’s nerves,” Ebron said during a recent podcast. “He [Ballard] tells Andrew ‘you’re either playing this year or we’re moving on.
