It's time for Friday at the 2026 Valero Texas Open . The first round is not quite in the books thanks to a 90-minute rain delay to kick off play at TPC San Antonio's Oaks Course on Thursday, but play should be caught up by day's end. Mark Hubbard paces the field after an opening 7-under 65, and there's a large chasing pack with plenty of notable names like Tony Finau, Tommy Fleetwood, Will Zalatoris and more.
The winner will take home 500 FedEx Cup points and $1. 764 million. And if that's not enough, they'll get a trophy and cowboy boots at week's end, too.
