Watch Texas A&M star QB's throws during seventh spring practice
Here is every throw from QB Marcel Reed during Texas A&M's seventh spring practice on Thursday afternoon.
Texas A&M's seventh spring practice took place on Thursday afternoon, which also served as the third practice open to the media, providing plenty of valuable video footage, especially of starting quarterback Marcel Reed, who continued to look more polished ahead of his third season, and second full season as the starter. After announcing his return early in the offseason, Reed's poor play during the final two games of the 2025 season culminated in the Aggies' 10-3 home loss to Miami in the first round of the College Football Playoff, where he threw two interceptions after throwing two picks during the regular season loss to Texas. Still, Reed threw for a career-high 3,169 yards and 25 touchdowns, but the national focus on his 12 interceptions has unsurprisingly received too much attention, even though any of us who cover the Aggies professionally are fully aware that the Tennessee native needs to improve his footwork in the pocket and focus more on moving the chains instead of forcing the deep ball.
On Thursday, Reed, along with the rest of the quarterback depth chart, went back to work, and thanks to KBTX's Travis Brown's condensed coverage of the rotation, every one of Marcel Reed's throws can be seen without stops in their entirety, connecting with several freshman wide receivers, while Alabama transfer WR Isaiah Horton continues to look the part. So far, so good for the Aggie signal caller, who will need to continue progressing heading into the summer before fall camp begins for Texas A&M to have any shot at making it back to the CFP.
