Rohl demands Rangers remain hunters in title chase
Head coach Danny Rohl wants Rangers to retain the mindset of "hunters" in the three-way battle for the Scottish Premiership title, even if his side go top this weekend. A home win over Dundee United on Saturday will take the Ibrox side to the summit of the table for the first time since March 2024, with leaders Hearts and third-placed Celtic not in action until Sunday, away to Livingston and Dundee respectively. "We know at the end the importance is after the last matchday to be top," Rohl said.
"It is nice to have this now, but even if we would be [top on Saturday], I would still speak from [the position of] we are the hunters. We want to hunt wins. We want to hunt our opponent.
And with this mindset, we should go in the next seven games. " Rangers have won four and drawn four from their past eight outings in the Premiership. "I feel really good because I see my group at the moment," said Rohl, who took over in October when Rangers were 13 points off the pace.
"I also see the development. "There is no doubt my group is strong, convinced, and we have the quality to win the league. " Is Scottish Premiership title race set for fresh twist?
With the top three separated by just five points with seven matches remaining, Rohl says the thrilling climax to the season is generating attention across Europe. "I expect a really exciting split," said the German. "You never know, it could be after two matchdays you are six points ahead, because the picture is like this.
