The Commanders moved on from Marshon Lattimore this offseason and the team could find a perfect replacement in the draft.

It's been an offseason theme that the Washington Commanders want to get younger and faster on defense. The team has a new defensive coordinator and has moved on from several veterans who played prominent roles last season. One of those veterans no longer on the team is cornerback Marshon Lattimore.

Lattimore was cut after playing in just nine games last season and struggling when he was on the field . The team signed corner Amik Robertson in free agency, but he mostly plays in the slot, so the team may still need another starting corner on the outside, depending on where Mike Sainristil plays in 2026. Luckily, this draft class is thought to have several starting-caliber outside corners.

With the No. 7 pick, the Commanders could be in a spot to land one of these corners. NFL.

com's Lance Zierlein recently published a new mock that has the Commanders going this route. In Zierlein's mock, the Commanders take LSU cornerback Mansoor Delane at No. 7.
