Peterborough United winger Kyrell Lisbie signs a new contract to run until the summer of 2030.

Peterborough United winger Kyrell Lisbie has signed a new contract to run until the summer of 2030. The 22-year-old has scored 14 goals in 43 appearances this season after joining Posh from National League club Braintree Town last summer. "The first half of the season was tough for me, but when the new manager came in, that is where I felt it changed," Lisbie told the club website.

"I think I have been the same player from the start, but the confidence they have instilled in me has been the key. " He is the son of former Charlton, Ipswich and Leyton Orient striker Kevin Lisbie, who is now manager of non-league Cray Valley Paper Mills - and brothers Kyreece and Kaion play for Colchester United. "It is refreshing to see hard work and performances equalling reward," said Peterborough manager Luke Williams, who replaced Darren Ferguson as boss last October.

"Quite often, reward can be given as a defence and sometimes done as a way of protecting a potential asset, but this is good to see a young and hungry player go on the pitch, make positive actions, make big contributions, go out there week in, week out regardless of whether they have a knock or not, and be recognised for that.
