Devils' Jack Hughes will be part of Yankees Opening Day ceremonies
Devils star forward Jack Hughes, Team USA men's Olympic hockey hero, is scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Yankee Stadium on Friday.
New Jersey Devils star Jack Hughes' busy off-the-ice schedule continues Friday afternoon. Hughes, who scored the golden goal in the gold medal game for Team USA men's Olympic hockey team, will make another public appearance as he's scheduled to throw out the the ceremonial first pitch at Yankee Stadium when the New York Yankees play their home opener versus the Miami Marlins. He won't be the only Olympic star on the field as Aerin Frankel , Team USA women's Olympic hockey gold medal-winning goalie and Westchester native, will also be throwing a ceremonial first pitch on Friday.
Yankee Stadium is just the latest stop for Hughes, who has already appeared on "Saturday Night Live," "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" and in Washington, D. C. , with his fellow Team USA teammates for the State of the Union.
The schedule worked out perfectly for Hughes to be in the Bronx, as the Devils have an off day on Friday. Their next game is at home versus the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday, April 4 at 7 p. m.
