Both Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen ultimately aren’t good enough if Chelsea are to get back to competing for the Premier League and Champions League. Chelsea interested in Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar It’s been reported Chelsea currently aren’t looking to buy a new goalkeeper this summer , with Mike Penders due to return from Strasbourg. It’s believed Penders is leading the race to be number one next season, although it would be a huge risk to put the 20-year-old in next season.
Chelsea passed on the opportunity to sign Mike Maignan last summer, but they’ve now been linked with another goalkeeper from Serie A. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, via SportWitness , Chelsea are interested in Roma’s Svilar, who could leave this summer. The report adds Newcastle are also keeping an eye on the Serbia international, with Roma thought to want at least €50m.
Svilar has kept 13 clean sheets in 30 Serie A appearances, and just for comparison Sanchez has kept ten in 29 Premier League appearances this season.
