Andrew Tackett decisions Vagner Rocha, two champs lose their belts at UFC BJJ 7
Two inaugural champions have lost their belts at UFC BJJ 7.
In the UFC BJJ 7 main event, Andrew Tackett won a hard fought decision against a 43-year-old grizzly veteran in Vagner Rocha . The pair went back and forth, but Tackett got two takedowns and a slick back take in the third round, which earned him a well deserved nod with the judges. Tackett now has two title defenses and improved to a perfect 5-0 at UFC BJJ.
While Tackett was successful, two inaugural UFC BJJ champions lost their belts at UFC BJJ 7. Lucas Valente proved that he has Carlos Henrique โs number, as he took his UFC BJJ lightweight belt with a third round foot lock and went 4-0 against him in their grappling careers. Inaugural womenโs featherweight champion Aurelie Le Vern also lost her title, spending several moments stuck in closed guard and dropping a decision to Rebeca Lima in a fairly uneventful affair.
