Vanderbilt baseball to play doubleheader against Texas A&M due to weather
Vanderbilt baseball will now conclude its series against Texas A&M with a doubleheader due to weather.
Vanderbilt baseball will complete its series against Texas A&M with a doubleheader on April 3 due to forecasted weather in College Station on April 4, per the programs. Game 1 will be at 2 p. m.
and Game 3 will begin 45 minutes after that game ends or at 6 p. m. , whichever is later, at Blue Bell Park.
The Commodores (19-12, 6-4 SEC) won the first game of the series, 14-8, on April 2. But both teams project to be light on pitching options. Vanderbilt has 14 healthy pitchers but both relievers who pitched in the opener, Brennan Seiber and Tyler Baird, threw over 20 pitches.
The 20th-ranked Aggies (23-5, 5-4) have just 11 healthy pitchers who have pitched this season, though outside of starter Shane Sdao, just one threw over 20 pitches in the opener. In the opener, the two teams combined for 10 home runs, with Vanderbilt's Colin Barczi hitting three of them. Vanderbilt last played a doubleheader in 2024, getting swept by South Carolina on the road.
