Sabres Intriguing Prospect Having Strong Year In AHL

Yahoo Sports

This Sabres prospect has been showing signs of improvement in the AHL.

Buffalo Sabres prospect Riley Fiddler-Schultz had a solid 2024-25 season with the Rochester Americans. In 51 games with the AHL club this past campaign, the 6-foot forward recorded 13 goals, 13 assists, 26 points, and a plus-1 rating. This was after he had one assist in his first six career AHL games in 2023-24.

However, Fiddler-Schultz has undoubtedly shown clear signs of improvement during this season with the Amerks. In 61 games with Rochester this season, the 23-year-old forward has recorded 21 goals, 15 assists, and 36 points. With this, the Sabres forward prospect has been a solid part of Rochester's roster this campaign and should be watched more closely because of it.

Fiddler-Schultz also has three goals and five points over his last four games for Rochester, so he has been continuing to impress as the campaign rolls on. Seeing Fiddler-Schultz take another step forward with his development this season with Rochester is undoubtedly encouraging. If he keeps this kind of play up, perhaps it could open the door for him to get some chances at the NHL level next season with the Sabres.
