High school boys volleyball: Lehi grabs 3-set victory over Cedar Valley

This was the Pioneers’ third game in three days so it would have been understandable if they came in a little sluggish and tired, but they were anything but that.
Lehi head coach Kolby Shewell couldn’t help but be pleased with his team’s performance and mentality heading into the match against a hungry Cedar Valley side. “I was really pleased with the mentality and preparation,” he said. “This is our third game in three days, and the first game this week, we started off really slowly and had to fight back and we had a good game yesterday.
“Today, I didn’t know what I was going to see from the guys, but they came mentally focused. We’ve learned how to prepare them for the game. We didn’t start slow in this game and I like the way that mentally, they were being mentally strong and mentally focused to get the job done.
