Nets' Nic Claxton, Noah Clowney probable Friday vs. Hawks
The Brooklyn Nets have listed center Nic Claxton and forward Noah Clowney as probable for Friday's game against the Atlanta Hawks.
The Brooklyn Nets are nearing the end of their 2025-26 NBA season and at this point, they are hoping to finish the campaign on a strong note amidst the rebuild. Brooklyn has less than two weeks left before they can break for the summer, but until then, they will have to figure out what the rotations will be given the amount of injuries affecting the team. The Nets announced on Thursday that center Nic Claxton and forward Noah Clowney are probable for Friday's game against the Atlanta Hawks due to their respective conditions.
Claxton is dealing with an illness as well as right hand soreness while Clowney is trying to play through some soreness in his left ankle with the hope of making the most of his third season in the league. Claxton, 26 , is having arguably the best season of his career as he's averaging 11. 7 points, 7.
0 rebounds, and 3. 7 assists per game while shooting 56. 9% from the field and 61.
2% from the free-throw line. With backup center Day'Ron Sharpe already ruled out for the rest of the season, Claxton is more valuable to Brooklyn's rotation than he already is and if he doesn't play, someone like Two-Way Chaney Johnson could be called on to soak up those minutes. Clowney, 21 , is averaging the best season of his career to this point with his averages of 12.
