It’s a feeling that not many get to experience. Northridge High School 2023 graduate Eva Fisher recently experienced the ultimate athletic achievement of playing on a national championship team. That moment took place on March 24th when Marian University upended Dort University, 73-61, in the NAIA National Championship game in Sioux City, Iowa.
Fisher, who’s a junior for the Knights, came off the bench and played eight minutes in the contest. She finished with two points, a rebound, an assist and a steal. “When we were up nine with round two minutes remaining we all started realizing what was happening,” said Fisher.
“At the final buzzer we all rushed the court and there was a look of shock in everyone’s eyes. We did it and won it all. Confetti came down on us.
