The Philadelphia Eagles have never been afraid to make changes, even when they involve big names, Pro Bowl talents, or even All-Pros. Eagles general manager Howie Roseman always does what he feels gives his team the best chance to win a Super Bowl, no matter what. This offseason, much of the focus has centered around potentially trading Pro Bowl receiver A.
J. Brown. A trade may or may not still materialize, but now the talk is pointed at another Eagles Pro Bowler.
Specifically, the Eagles seem to be seriously considering making a kicker change, where Jake Elliott has held down the starting job since 2017. Elliott has become a one-time Pro Bowler, and he’s helped the Eagles win a Super Bowl ring. But now he’s 31 and his accuracy has dropped significantly in the past two seasons.
In 2023, Elliott drilled 93. 8% of his field goals. In 2024, that number dropped down to 77.
