They brought in a bunch of new faces in hopes of being more competitive this year. They acquired Caleb Durbin in a trade with the Milwaukee Brewers , Sonny Gray and Willson Contreras in a trade with the St. Louis Cardinals , and signed Rager Suarez to a five-year deal.
