Former All-Pro drafted by Bills in first round retires from NFL

Former Buffalo Bills first-round pick and Pro Bowler--and eventual All-Pro--Stephon Gilmore, has retired from the NFL. Gilmore, 35, announced his decision via his social media account on Instagram: Five-time Pro-Bowl CB Stephon Gilmore announced on IG that he is retiring from the NFL. pic.

He spent for seasons with the Bills and had one Pro Bowl nod in his final season in Buffalo. Gilmore was a positive player for the next several years after leaving the Bills, including first-team All-Pro honors and a Super Bowl title with the New England Patriots. After leaving New England in 2021 to join the Carolina Panthers, Gilmore declined.
