TV, schedule and prediction for Georgia baseball at Mississippi State

The No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs baseball team is facing its biggest challenge of the season on the road against the No. 4 Mississippi State Bulldogs .

Georgia hits the road to play a Mississippi State team that has won nine straight games including SEC sweeps over Ole Miss (on the road) and Vanderbilt. Georgia (24-6, 7-2 SEC) is looking to win its fourth straight SEC series to open the season. The Bulldogs are coming off a sweep of the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Georgia took care of business midweek with a 14-9 home win against Georgia State. Mississippi State (25-4, 7-2 SEC) is tied atop the SEC baseball standings with Georgia and Texas. The other Bulldogs are a perfect 18-0 at home this season, but we think Georgia will give Mississippi State their first home loss of the season.

The Georgia at Mississippi State series will be televised on SEC Network+. Georgia baseball is the best power hitting team in the country and has four players with at least 10 home runs (Daniel Jackson, Tre Phelps, Kolby Branch and Brennan Hudson). Georgia will go up against an elite Mississippi State pitching staff.
