Phil Mickelson has missed multiple LIV events this year due to a personal matter.

Phil Mickelson not take part in the 2026 Masters. The three-time Masters winner announced that he’ll “be out for an extended period of time” due to a “personal health matter” in his family. Mickelson announced the news on social media.

He declined to go into specifics regarding his decision to step away from golf for a bit. Mickelson’s full statement read : “Unfortunately, I will not play in the Masters Tournament next week and will be out for an extended period of time as my family continues to navigate a personal health matter. I have great respect for Augusta National Golf Club and it is definitely the most special week of the year.

I wish everyone the best of luck and will be watching. ” Mickelson, 55, has not played in multiple LIV events this year due to a personal family matter. This story will be updated.
