Hillsdale County hoops athletes earn more than 50 all-league honors
In addition to more than 50 all-league honorees, Hillsdale Academy basketball coaches earned conference COTY awards.
HILLSDALE COUNTY — Winter sports awards brought a new batch of awarded student-athletes across the five athletic conferences that Hillsdale County (ISD) schools compete in. More: Vote for the top returning 2026 Hillsdale County softball athlete In total, there were 56 athletes who earned all-conference honors as varsity basketball players during the 2025-26 season. In addition, several athletes earned conference dream team honors, including junior point guard Caleb Blonde, who was named the Cascades Conference boys basketball Co-Player of the Year.
Amongst other honorees, Jack Huffman of Hillsdale Academy was named the SCAA-East all-league captain and a member of the conference dream team with teammate Dawson Scharer and Seth Williams of Waldron. Junior Lucy Cote of Hillsdale Academy was named to the SCAA conference dream team along with Litchfield senior Abby Bills. Hillsdale Academy coaches Jenn Clark and Dustin Scharer both earned SCAA East Coach of the Year honors.
