Berry has already added OL Zion Johnson , likely as the starting left guard, OL Tytus Howard as the starting right tackle, OL Elgton Jenkins , starting at right guard or center, and retained OL Teven Jenkins , who could compete at right guard or be a depth piece.
Jones’ injury history is highly concern, finishing each of the last three seasons on injured reserve. Jones, like DE Myles Garrett , is also a big fan of playing basketball, which has continued during his time with the Browns , while rehabbing from injuries. That continued in the 2026 offseason, with this new video of him playing basketball : #Browns Dawand Jones spending some time in the offseason hooping.

com/OtwH2L6leq — Coop (Justin Cooper) (@JJCoop25) April 2, 2026 That Jones is able to play basketball, including getting up and down the court and multiple back-to-back jumps, is exciting about his rehab progress. That Jones is playing basketball, putting unnecessary strain and risk on his body, is concerning, as landing on a foot wrong could derail his season quickly. Even if Cleveland drafts a tackle with a first-round pick, Jones is expected to play a role and could start the season as a starter on the offensive line.
