FORT LAUDERDALE — The Florida Panthers and Boston Bruins may not have a long history against one another, but it certainly is storied. And heated. Tonight, the two rivals meet again although the stakes are decidedly different.
The Panthers will be without 11 regulars and are a loss away from being officially eliminated from playoff contention after winning the past two Stanley Cup championships. Boston, which had its season end to the Panthers in 2023 and 2024, holds the top wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference and is still in the running to get one of the top three spots in the Atlantic Division. Toby Bjornfot and Mikulas Hovorka are the latest new additions to the team with Florida icing a squad with seven players who have played in the AHL this season.
