Prior to heading to Morocco in December, Mbaye had carved out a place in the rotation at his formative club, Paris Saint-Germain. Whilst Mbaye wishes to remain at PSG, his lack of game time could make him look elsewhere with the summer transfer window approaching. There were approaches in January, L’Équipe understands. PSG closed the door to an exit, although the publication understands that he did visit Manchester City’s facilities.
The player’s entourage denies this. In any case, a move could be on the cards this summer, and L’Équipe understands that Aston Villa are also lining up a move. It is in England where the PSG winger is most highly-rated.
