com/4VbDzR1LB1 — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) April 2, 2026 Cousins was released by the Atlanta Falcons less than a month ago after two uneven seasons. He tore his Achilles with the Vikings in 2023, started 6-3 for Atlanta in 2024 before an arm injury led to a benching, and then posted a 61. 7 completion percentage for 1,721 yards, 10 touchdowns and five interceptions in 2025 while filling in for an injured Michael Penix Jr.
The Raiders, who traded Geno Smith to the Jets last month, currently have only Aidan O’Connell on the roster at quarterback. They are widely expected to select Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming draft but want a veteran presence to develop the rookie.
