Jaylen Brown puts explosive start to Boston Celtics blowout of Miami Heat in context

Yahoo Sports

The Boston Celtics had a sizzling first quarter vs. the Miami Heat at Kaseya Center this past Wednesday (April 1) evening, Boston seemingly unable to miss on their way to shellacking the Heat to the tune of 147-129. And star Celtics forward Jaylen Brown shone in particular in that first frame, ending the night with 43 points, 3 rebounds, and 7 assists in one of his best games of the season.

"Sometimes when you have a great offensive quarter ... the second quarter we took our foot off the gas a little bit, and that's the stuff that we have got to work on," said Brown, putting the offensive explosion in a proper context. "I guess in that second quarter, we could have took some better shots.

" "We would have took some better shots, we don't waste -- we weren't wasting possessions," added the Georgia native. "So, (it's a)sign of a great team, even after a great quarter you come back and do it again," he added. "And I thought in the second quarter we allowed some slippage and they and they took advantage.

" "So, there's still some stuff to clean up, still some stuff we are getting better at, making sure we maximize each and every possession. And then when you have the goal and the maturity to just make the right play ... tonight I felt like I did that for the most part, but I could have been better in some spots.

So that's stuff I will correct going forward. " Listen to "Havlicek Stole the Pod" on: Blue Wire: https://tiny. ee/CdKp iTunes: https://tiny.
