Bengals sign CB help, ending free-agency drought
The Bengals finally got active in NFL free agency again.
The Cincinnati Bengals signed former Los Angeles Chargers and New York Jets defensive back Ja’Sir Taylor Thursday, the team announced. Taylor has played four seasons in the NFL, mostly with the Chargers after being drafted by the team in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Wake Forest. He was traded to the Jets in November for a late-round pick in 2028.
He has played in 65 games with the Chargers and Jets and has recorded 97 tackles, 15 passes defended and one interception. He has missed just three games in four seasons. Taylor could be in the mix to compete with Jalen Davis at the nickel position.
Cincinnati could also still look to add to the position through the draft. This article originally appeared on Bengals Wire: Bengals sign CB help, ending free-agency drought
