BREAKING: Crooks joins 9 teammates in transfer portal

In 95 games, the Algona native (Bishop Garrigan alumna) scored 2,256 points. Her final game as a Cyclone, a 72-63 First Round loss to Syracuse, saw Crooks scored 37 points. “Thank you all for embracing me and showing up to Hilton every single game day,” Crooks posted on social media.

“I’ve met so many of you out in the community, and I will cherish all of the genuine connections that I’ve built during my time at Iowa State. “I still believe the grass is greener where you water it, and I’ve done that here. It’s why I want you to hear from me directly that I have decided to enter the portal and explore what it means to take root again in new ground.

” Other Cyclones who have entered the transfer portal include: Jada Williams (March 28), Addy Brown (March 24), Kenzie Hare (March 30), Alisa Williams (March 26), Reagan Wilson (March 24), Lilly Taulelei (March 24), Aili Tanke (March 24) and Freya Jensen (March 25). Des Moines native Arianna Jackson has announced she’ll return and Evangelia Paulk told the Des Moines Register she plans to return to play for the 2026-27 Iowa State women’s basketball team.
