Quante Berry is latest Memphis basketball Tiger set to enter transfer portal

Memphis basketball guard Quante Berry intends to enter the transfer portal, his mother, Quran Nalory, confirmed to The Commercial Appeal on April 2. The 6-foot-4 Cleveland, Tennessee, native was a member of Penny Hardaway's 2025-26 roster . It was his first season with the Tigers after spending the previous two seasons at Temple.

Berry began his collegiate career at Providence, where he redshirted as a freshman. Hardaway has experienced low player retention in recent seasons, bringing just three players back from one season to the next in the past three seasons combined.
