The Detroit Tigers kept Kevin McGonigle on the Opening Day roster. The St. Louis Cardinals did the same with JJ Wetherholt.
The Pittsburgh Pirates will give Konnor Griffin his MLB debut on Friday for their home opener. That just leaves the Mariners and Colt Emerson. All four of those guys were top-10 prospects in the sport before Opening Day, and all four had a case to be on their teams' initial MLB rosters.
The Tigers and Cardinals kept their phenoms up and haven't regretted it one bit so far. The Pirates gave Griffin just a week in Triple-A, and now he's coming to the majors. Emerson was sent-down to Triple-A, as well, and he hasn't yet gotten the call back, although it can't be too far off.
