The Bears were led by Tounde Yessoufou who had 19 points and seven rebounds.

THE STAT : Is shooting 13% from three bad? Cause the Gophers were just 3/23 from behind the arc, their worst shooting night of the season. Isaac Asuma was 0/4, Cade Tyson was 1/6 and Bobby Durking was 2/8.

It was going to be very difficult to beat Baylor with those shooting numbers. TURNING POINT : Leading into the under-12-minute TV timeout, Minnesota was on a 7-0 run and took an 18-16 lead after a Bobby Durkin three. The Bears’ defense was giving up layups and the Gophers’ offense was finding a rhythm.

But in that timeout, Scott Drew got through to his team and the defense made things very difficult for Minnesota from that point. The Gophers scored 30 points over the remaining 30 minutes. NOTABLE: Max Gizzi came in for Minnesota and scored his first points at the Division 1 level.
