5 overall pick. The Giants, who have just two top-100 selections, pair Tate with Malik Nabers to give Jaxson Dart a formidable duo to grow with in the passing game. Tate is widely considered the top wide receiver in the 2026 class.
Other elite prospects, such as USC’s Makai Lemon and Texas A&M’s KC Concepcion, have not unseated the 21-year-old as the first receiver taken off the board in any team’s projections when addressing the position early in the draft. The 2025 season was a notable one for Tate. The Chicago native earned consensus second-team All-American honors from the Associated Press and three other major organizations.
