Texas A&M junior OF listed as 'questionable' before hosting Vanderbilt
Transfer OF Wesley Jordan is officially "questionable" to play vs. Vanderbilt this weekend after missing the last four games.
Texas A&M (23-5) remains undefeated in midweek games after blowing out Sam Houston 16-2 on Tuesday night, as the Aggie offense has been on a tear since sweeping the Missouri Tigers, scoring 55 runs over the past four games, while junior first baseman Gavin Grahovac has hit five home runs since injuring his hand last Friday night. Throughout conference play, two of Texas A&M 's major transfer additions, star infielder Chris Hacopian and outfielder Wesley Jordan, dealt with injury issues early in the season, and while both players returned to the lineup at the start of SEC play, Jordan is now dealing with an unspecified injury, and he's been out of the lineup for the past four games. Due to the Aggies' depth, freshman Jorian Wilson has looked like a future star, hitting two home runs during Jordan's time on the bench, while senior Blake Binderup's elite slugging percentage and consistency at the plate are the primary reasons Texas A&M has been able to withstand Jordan's injury, and before hosting Vanderbilt this weekend, starting on Thursday night, the latest injury report reveals up of the same.
While Jordan was listed as "probable" with a 75% chance to play against Missouri, Earley opted to rest his starter. According to the latest availability report, Jordan is now listed as "questionable," giving him a 50% chance to take the field. Right now, I don't expect Jordan to play, mainly because of Jorian Wilson and Ryan Binderup's recent performances, which make it hard for the Baylor transfer to fully recover.
Texas A&M will face Vanderbilt on Thursday, April 2nd, at 6:00 p. m. and will be available to stream on SEC Network+.
