Arjun Tendulkar, son of Sachin, opens up on wife Saaniya: 'She never said anything'
Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar's son Arjun has opened up about his simple life, saying his wife Saaniya Chandhok has been supportive. Now with Lucknow Super Giants, he remains unfazed by criticism and focused on proving himself. Inspired by Yuvraj Singh, he aims to build his own identity beyond Sachin Tendulkar’s legacy.
NEW DELHI: Arjun Tendulkar has shared a rare glimpse into his personal life, revealing how grounded and low-key things are despite the spotlight that comes with being Sachin Tendulkar’s son. Now with Lucknow Super Giants for IPL 2026, Arjun is looking to make a fresh start while balancing expectations on and off the field. In a candid chat with podcaster Shubhankar Mishra, Arjun spoke about his newly-wed wife Saaniya Chandhok and her support during the IPL.
“She never said anything. She has been supportive,” he said, dismissing any notion that she asked him to delay joining his team. He also highlighted how his life away from cricket is quite simple.
“I have five dogs in Goa, and I spend time playing with them,” he shared. Interestingly, Arjun added, “I don't really have cricketer friends; most of my friends don't play cricket,” showing he prefers a circle outside the sport. Despite constant scrutiny and trolling, Arjun remains unfazed.
“No, I'm not,” he said when asked if criticism affects him. On the field, however, the challenge remains tough. After limited opportunities with Mumbai Indians, he now faces stiff competition at LSG for a spot in the playing XI.
