Commanders' Dan Quinn reveals Brandon Coleman could play center
Who will play center in 2026? Don't rule out Brandon Coleman.
Might Brandon Coleman compete at center? That's right, Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn shared this with Locked on Commanders host David Harrison. The NFL Owners Meetings were held earlier this week out in Phoenix.
According to Harrison, he sat down with Quinn briefly and inquired about Coleman possibly being moved to center. "Quinn said there is a path where this could potentially happen," said Harrison. "However, Brandon Coleman is going to start the season at guard.
He's going to start the season at left guard, competing at reps for that position. It's going to be basically a situation of how the battles unfold both at left guard and center. If there is a need there, Dan Quinn's focus is getting the best five offensive linemen on the field.
" The past two seasons, Tyler Biadasz was the Commanders ' starting center. But he was released and then quickly signed by the Chargers as a free agent. Nick Allegretti, who was the 2024 starter at left guard, became a reserve in 2025 as the Commanders replaced him Coleman.
