Reflecting on the match, he explained, “we were incredible. We dominated the game. The reality is Bayern Munich are fresher—they were able to rotate seven players for the weekend’s game—and in the end, we just didn’t have the legs.
” Skinner also added that his side could not get out and escape Bayern’s dominance owing to their tired legs, but that he was disappointed to have conceded from two set pieces. Tactical plan When asked if his side had made the perfect start, he responded by saying, “yeah, for sure. We knew we could exploit the sides of their 4-4-2, get in behind, and try to get the goal.
We did that and created a couple more opportunities. ” Skinner then claimed that he hopes some players will be back after the international break and set his side the challenge of repeating their historic campaign. He asserted, “if we want that feeling again, we need to win the last three games of the season.
