On this edition, we dive into the biggest basketball news of the week as Syracuse has their new head coach. Gerry McNamara is back with the Orange and he is ready to bring a wealth of knowledge, prestige and a winning mentality back to Central New York. McNamara was officially introduced as the new head coach of the Syracuse men’s program after taking Siena to the NCAA Tournament where they nearly upset top seeded Duke in the bracket.
20 years after his final home game as a player where he saw great success from winning a national title, surpassing 2,000 career points and having his #3 jersey retired McNamara is back leading the program. Syracuse hasn’t played in the NCAA Tournament in six seasons and G-Mac is ready to right the ship and do one thing-win again.
