On Wednesday afternoon, the St. Louis Cardinals walked-off the New York Mets 2-1 at Busch Stadium. The hero of that game was shortstop Masyn Winn, who won the game with a single in the bottom of the 11th inning.
It was the first career walk-off RBI for the infielder. After the game, things took a scary turn as Winn was reportedly involved in a single-car accident. Masyn, who was alone in the vehicle, was attended to by local police and Cardinals security and medical staff. He was examined at a nearby hospital and suffered no serious injuries. We are grateful that he is OK, and thank the first responders in our community who helped Masyn tonight.
