Virginia Tech women’s basketball: Hokies land Tennessee transfer Alyssa Latham

While the men’s team is losing players, Megan Duffy is getting a head start on next season.

On Wednesday, Talia Goodman of On3 revealed that the Hokies had landed a commitment from 6-foot-2 forward Alyssa Latham.

Latham, a native of Glenwood, Illinois, was a four-star recruit out of high school in the 2023 recruiting class. Latham initially committed to Syracuse, where she spent her freshman season, appearing in 32 games with 26 starts. She averaged 8.

In 2024-25, Latham appeared in 34 games with five starts, averaging 3. 9 PPG and 3. 7 RPG.
