The Beavers beat the Mustangs 7-4 in Game 1 before falling 4-1 in the series finale. The games were slated to be hosted in Bemidji but were moved to Marshall due to weather and field conditions. Thoma went 3-for-4 at the plate in the first game with a double.

He went 1-for-4 in Game 2. Thoma is four games away from matching the longest hitting streak in BSU history. Noah Drusch hit his team-leading 10th home run this season, which is tied for the most in the NSIC with Minnesota Crookston's Jackson Fliflet and Wayne State's Nate Cunningham.
