AP Photo/AJ Mast Indiana’s pro day gave NFL scouts another look at Hoosiers talent ahead of the upcoming draft, with quarterback Fernando Mendoza drawing attention. All 32 NFL teams sent scouts to Indiana, more than 100 media members were credentialed and dozens of family members and friends of ex-Hoosiers showed up for a pro day unlike any other in school history. Most came to see the guy expected to be the first-overall pick in this month's NFL draft and Mendoza didn't disappoint, using his platform to potentially help his ex-teammates improve their draft stock.

Mendoza said he is focused on becoming the best version of himself rather than worrying about where he will be selected. "I'm just trying to be the best quarterback I can be in September rather than right now here in April, it was gonna be a lot more under center, and that's a big adjustment," Mendoza said. He’s also preparing for changes at the next level, including spending more time under center and adjusting to the faster pace of the NFL game.

Mendoza has met with several teams during the pre-draft process, including the Las Vegas Raiders, who hold the No. 1 overall pick, and emphasized the importance of staying humble and avoiding complacency. If selected first overall, Mendoza would become just the second Indiana player to do so, joining Corbett Davis, who was taken No.
