MEAC Tiffany Greene has always had a passion for sports. Her enthusiasm shines in each of her broadcasts as a play-by-play commentator for ESPN. But what excites Greene most is sharing her passion with young girls in her hometown of Tampa .
She does that through her 'Game on! Girls Summit,' which she hosted on Wednesday morning inside Blake High School. "This is something that, for me, is impactful work.
The idea is you want to open the door so that others can flood through it," she said. For the past three years, Greene's summit has inspired local high school girl athletes to pursue successful careers and gain financial literacy. More than 300 local athletes attended Wednesday's summit, which featured a panel of local women with careers in multiple fields and a financial workshop sponsored by Chase Bank.
Greene's motivation to give back comes from the women who poured into her when she was a student at Hillsborough High School. "So many people spent time.... [and] showed me what was possible, and that's exactly what I hope to share with these young women.
