Emmanuel Rodriguez hits grand slam in Saints’ home loss to Worcester

Emmanuel Rodriguez put the St. Paul Saints ahead with a third-inning grand slam for his first home run of the season, but the Worcester Red Sox came back late to earn a 5-4 victory on Wednesday at CHS Field in St. Paul.

Worcester (3-2) got a homer from Tsung-Che Cheng in the fourth and scored single runs in the seventh and eighth innings before rallying again in the ninth of Saints reliever Marco Raya (0-1). Cheng plated one run with a sacrifice bunt and the winning run scored on a single by Matt Thaiss. Raya allowed both runs on two hits and a walk.
