After a three-win season last year, many wanted Glenn to move on, but the magnitude of the rebuild is huge. Still, Glenn will be under pressure to get results. He has brought in key veterans on both sides of the ball, but one glaring position that has been missed is receiver, with New York having just Garrett Wilson for Geno Smith to throw to.
But for ESPN's Rich Cimini, a breakout year from young tight end Mason Taylor could help ease concerns about the receiver room. "A breakout year by second-year TE Mason Taylor could help mitigate the concern," Cimini wrote . Glenn said he expects Taylor to "have a hell of a year.
" Taylor had a quiet 44 catches last season as a rookie, missing the last four games due to a neck injury. While "key" might be a little heavy-handed for a tight end who posted 369 yards and 1 TD from 44 receptions in 13 games, there is upside.
