Former Tennessee, Penn State guard to enter transfer portal

The Penn State Nittany Lions struggled through an abysmal 12-20 campaign last season, finishing last in the Big Ten standings with a 3-17 conference record. The road won't get much easier moving forward, as they'll be without standout guard Freddie Dilione V, who plans to enter the transfer portal, according to On3's Joe Tipton. Dilione was the Nittany Lions ' leading scorer, averaging 14.

He played in all 32 games, converting on 47. 3% from the field and 31. 8% from 3-point range.

Prior to his time at Penn State, Dilione began his career with the Tennessee Volunteers. He had high expectations coming out of high school as a four-star recruit and a top 10 combo guard in the nation, though he saw just 5. 2 minutes per game as a freshman.
