Frankfort's Jeremy Phillips became the second player in school history named to the Class AA All-State first team by the West Virginia Sports Writers Association this week. Phillips, who was second in the state averaging 23. 8 points per game, is the first Falcon to make the top squad since William Ault in 2001.
A Frostburg State commit, Phillips made 78 3-pointers this season and finished his career as Frankfort's all-time leading scorer with 1,448 points. Frankfort finished 15-10 and advanced to its first Class AA state tournament since 2010. Three other locals were named to the honorable mention squad in Frankfort's Kycin Waites, Petersburg's Kaleb Kuhn and Moorefield's Cyrus Kump.
