Minnesota Vikings Named ‘Perfect Fit’ for Day 2 Receiver

The Minnesota Vikings have a new starting quarterback, and depending on how the first season goes, Kyler Murray could become coach Kevin O’Connell’s franchise QB. Naturally, the Vikings want Murray to have a wildly successful season that lives up to his potential as a former No. 1 overall pick.

Yet, to do so, the Vikings may want to strengthen the depth of their receiving corps, especially after letting WR3 Jalen Nailor sign with the Raiders in free agency. The Vikings did make Tai Felton a third-round selection in 2025. Though, Felton didn’t contribute much as a pass-catcher as a rookie, catching all three of his targets for 25 yards.

Still, the Vikings likely want to add another capable pass-catcher to a top-heavy receiver group headlined by Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison. With nine selections in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Vikings could find a solution later this month. Recently, ESPN’s Ben Solak had a suggestion for who could be a “perfect fit” for the Vikings.
