Yahoo Sports

According to The California Post, Rams WR Puka Nacua has checked into rehab in Malibu and has been there for some time.

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua has checked into rehab in Malibu, according to The California Post . The news was confirmed by Nacua’s attorney, Levi McCathern, to the Post, stating that the receiver has been at a luxury treatment center. Nacua was recently accused of biting a woman and making an antisemitic remark on New Year’s Eve this past December.

The woman’s request for a temporary restraining order has been withdrawn, but Nacua is still being sued. McCathern says Nacua’s decision to enter rehab is not directly in response to the lawsuit , but the stories that have been written about the Rams wideout was “certainly a contributing factor. ” Nacua has been in rehab for “a substantial period of time” and is “scheduled to be there for a while longer," McCathern says.

From the Post: McCathern added that Nacua’s goal with the stay is “to improve his overall behavior in every aspect of his life that he can do it. ” “And I’m really proud of him doing it and doing it in this offseason. ” Photos The Post obtained show the Rams wide receiver going in and out of the treatment center on two separate occasions in March.

Nacua’s attorney says Puka is “doing absolutely fabulous” and is in “great spirits," though there are no specifics surrounding the reason for Nacua's rehab visit.
