Chris Sale picked up his second win of the season when leading the Atlanta Braves to a 5-1 victory over the Athletics. The 2024 National League Cy Young Award winner ceded just one hit and one run over six methodical innings at Truist Park. Nobody would know by looking at the box score, but Braves manager Walt Weiss revealed after the game that Sale was feeling under the weather.

"He was as sick as a dog," Weiss said, via Prospects Live's Mike Kurland . "We didn't know if he was gonna be able to make that start. I was hoping to get three innings out of him.

Best-case scenario, probably four. "He couldn't keep anything down. He was a mess.
