Everton defender Hobson joins Rosenborg BK on loan Everton defender Issy Hobson has joined Norwegian Toppserien club Rosenborg BK on loan until the end of June. The Toffees announced news of the deal via a post on their official club website earlier today. The 18-year-old defender will gain experience playing her football outside of the English professional game for the very first time over the course of the next three months.

Hobson has come through the youth system at Everton. She made her senior debut as a substitute in a Subway Women’s League Cup tie against Leicester City during the 2023/2024 season. Hobson became Everton’s youngest-ever goalscorer in the Barclays Women’s Super League when she netted in a 1-1 draw against Arsenal in April 2024.

She scored her goal at the age of 16 years and 180 days. In recent times, Hobson has furthered her development through a combination of loan spells and limited game time with Everton. The youngster spent the second half of last season with Sheffield United before starting this term on loan at Nottingham Forest.

Hobson will now hope to impress in her time in Norway with Rosenborg BK. Hobson could make her Rosenborg BK debut after the international break when they travel to Aalesunds FK for their next Toppserien fixture.
